My career has had many highs… and lows; selling out shows of my music across Europe, showcasing at festivals, live broadcasting on national radio, performing alongside and together with some of my ultimate musical heroes, to playing shows to a near empty room. I’ve sat on the jury for the Ivor Novello Awards and been nominated for the occasional award, most recently a Deutsche Jazzpreis in 2023 (best jazz vocal album). I’ve given lectures & clinics on performance, songwriting & creativity to various conservatoires & institutions throughout the UK.
With over 15 years in the creative industry, these lived experiences have shaped who I am as an artist, & they have helped me to develop a skillset that has grounded my creative practice, and kept me in touch with my big dreams & creative aspirations. More practically, these skills have helped me to navigate the lifestyle and day to day work of my existence as a musical collaborator, songwriter & composer, and recording artist.
Through my work at the Guildhall I discovered a passion for working with songwriters & artists; helping them to realise and unlock their creative potential. This led me to create my own 1:1 creative mentoring program, working with singers, songwriters, composers, and visual artists to help them dive deeper into their work & start making the art they have always dreamed of.
